During the last week of summer vacation, children and teens gathered daily at St. Andrew's to follow the journeys of Joseph in Egypt! Every day the kids visited with "Joseph" to hear his story, how his brothers sold him into slavery in Egypt, how he landed in jail, then interpreted the Pharoah's dreams and was given the position as ruler of the whol land and eventually reconciled with his brothers and saved his family from starvation during a famine!
We made mud bricks and mummified apple faces and other crafts, played games and ate Egyptian-themed snacks, sang songs and learned about life in ancient Egypt.
It was a wonderful week, thanks to the teen volunteers and Sharon, Vinaya, Monique and Heather who put it together!
