The Church of St. Andrew is a community made up of many people with many differing gifts and personalities. Our wonderful cultural diversity has brought great riches into our lives together. We have served the communities of North York and Scarborough since the fall of 1956, and we're still going strong.
The Church of St. Andrew has heart! We come together to celebrate God's goodness to us and to grow in God's love. This looks different for each one of us, as each one of us is a unique child of God. We believe that God has called us to love; to love God and to love our neighbour as ourselves. We take this seriously, learning as we grow together, encouraging one another, forgiving one another and bearing one another's burdens. We support one another at the Church of St. Andrew, which often means getting together for all sorts of activities and events in the life of the church, often sharing a meal or food of some sort! While we all enjoy the spiritual benefits of attending the beautiful services and hearing the inspiring music, many of us find true spiritual fulfillment when we become active in other church activities. From actively participating in church services to serving the spiritual and physical needs of our community, to developing new friendships, there are many ways to grow closer to God in the Church of St. Andrew, Scarborough.
Whether you are new to the area, or have lived here for many years, we encourage you to come and get to know us. Come to a service (see service times on this site), take a look at the many outreach programs that we do together in service of the community, or send us a line, by telephone or e-mail. We would be glad to meet you and try and answer any questions that you may have about us. Come as you are, and as you get to know us, we hope that you will get to know God, who we believe has called us together, who knows us better than we know ourselves.
